ESTeemNetworkConfigurationUtility(ENC)
The ESTeem Network Configuration (ENC) Utility is a software program designed to greatly simplify the configuration of your
Horizonwireless Ethernetnetwork.TheENC Utilitywillallow graphical,point‐and‐clickconfiguration ofyour networkrouting,
thenconfigureeachESTeemwirelessmodemforthenetworkasdesigned(Figure1).TheENCUtil
itywilleliminat etheneedto
programorupdateeachESTeemwireless modemindividually.TheENCUtilitycansendallwirelessmodemconfigurationchanges
simultaneouslytoaneworexist ingnetwork.
TheENCUtilitywillbeusedforallwirelessnetworkprogramminginthisUser’sManual.Fordetailedinstructionsontheuseof
theESTeemNet
workConfiguration(ENC)UtilitypleaserefertheENCUtilityUser’sGuideavailableontheESTeemResourceCDor
intheapplicationitself.
ESTeemDiscoveryUtility
TheESTeemDiscoveryUtilitywillallowyoutoconfiguretheIPaddressontheHorizon
radiotomatchyournetworkregardlessofitscurrentIPsubnet.Thisutilitywillalsoallow
you to update the software in the Horizon and open the web configuration for that
wirelessmodem.
Installation
TheDiscovery Utilitycanbe downloadedfromtheESTeemweb site(http://www.esteem.com)oris availableon theSoftware
ResourcemediathatwasshippedwiththeHor i zo n radios.
1. TheDiscoveryUtilityisaJava™basedapplicationcompatiblewithanycomputeroperatingsystem(Window,Linux,etc).The
applicationrequires two(2)additionalsupportfilestooperate:
Java–Downloadablefromhttp://www.java.com.Theversionrequiredwillbebaseduponyouroperat
ingsystem.
Note: The installation and updates from Java may try and install additional web browser toolbars.Uncheck the optional
installationiftheyarenotdesired.
WinPcap–Downloadablefromhttp://www.winpcap.org/.Theversionrequiredwillbebaseduponyouroperatingsystem.

TechnicalTip:Ifyourcomputeris
configured for DHCP and not
attachedtothenetwork,youwill
