OPERATION Control Panel A- Alarm light D- Operation light B- Fast freeze light E- Thermostat control C- Fast freeze switch Before using Start your appliance Remove all securing tapes. Wash inside the appliance with lukewarm water and bicarbonate of soda (5 ml to 0.5 litre of water). Insert the plug into the wall socket. The pilot light (D) will light up to show that the appliance is on. Do not use soap or detergent as the smell may linger. Dry thoroughly.
If the freezer is already in operation, the fast-freeze knob should be activated about 2-3 hours before freezing fresh food. This time can be shortened, depending on the quantity of food to be frozen. After the time has elapsed place the food to be frozen in the two top compartments of the freezer as these are the coldest parts. Once the food is completely frozen (which could take up to 24 hours) return the fast freeze button to the normal position by pressing it; the yellow light (B) goes off.
HINTS AND TIPS Energy Saving Advice Normal Operating Sounds ¥ ¥ ¥ You may hear faint gurgling or bubbling sounds when the refrigerant is pumped through the coils or tubing at the rear, to the cooling plate/evaporator. ¥ Do not install the appliance close to sources of heat, such as a boiler or radiator. ¥ When the compressor is on, the refrigerant is being pumped round, and you will hear a whirring sound or pulsating noise from the compressor.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING NEVER USE DETERGENTS, ABRASIVE POWDERS, HIGHLY PERFUMED CLEANING PRODUCTS OR WAX POLISHES, TO CLEAN THE INTERIOR AS THESE WILL DAMAGE THE SURFACE AND LEAVE A STRONG ODOUR. Before any maintenance or cleaning work is carried out, DISCONNECT the appliance from the ELECTRICITY supply. Internal cleaning Clean the inside and accessories with warm water and bicarbonate of soda (5ml to 0.5 litre of water). Rinse and dry thoroughly.
SOMETHING NOT WORKING Important: If you call out an engineer to a fault listed below, or to repair a fault caused by incorrect use or installation a charge will be made, even if the appliance is under guarantee.
