LEVEL THE MACHINE Place the machine in its intended position and check that it is level both front to back and side to side. N.B. This is very important. If the dishwasher is not level, the wrong amendment of water may tween inch the machine. In addition the upper back may be awkward to pule onr and the door difficult to close. If necessary, adjust the level of the machine by turning the threaded feet. The next step is to connect the water outlet hose, water infer hose and electricity {see below).
ADJUSTING HEIGHT OF MACHINE Dishwashers intended to be built in have a wheel at the back to enable the machine to be positioned more easily. The wheel mounting is adjustable, allowing you to adapt the height of the machine {820-880 mm)} so than it fits underneath the worktop or equivalent. Proceed as follows: 1. Measure the distance from the floor to the bottom edge of the worktop. 2.
SECURING THE MACHINE Secure the machine in position with the screws provided. Wherever possible the machine should be [fixed to the worktop. If this is not possible, use the holes in the sides and the two plastic fixing plugs supplied. Make sure that you tighten the screws equally on both sides, so that the sides of the machine remain vertical. Adjust the sliding plate of the plinth by loosening the screws so that it can be lowered into the desired position.
CONNECTING THE INLET HOSE Since your machine is provided with a water-softener filter, we recommend cold fill. (The times and consumption values in the programmer selection guide are calculated for an inlet temperature of 15°C). If you choose to connect your machine to hot water instead, please note that the temperature of the incoming water should not exceed 70°C. If it does, a thermostatically controlled mixer should be installed ahead of the inlet.

FILLING WITH SALT Your machine is fitted with a water softening #t filter. The softening process prevents limescale deposits forming in the machine and on your dishes. WHAT YOU CAN WASH Many items come with instructions indicating whether they are dishwasher-proof. However, the following comments may be useful: CHINA: In some cases the decoration may be unprotected, on the outside of the glaze, and colors may fade if they are washed repeatedly by machine. Be aware of this when buying new china. GLASS: Problems rarely occur. You should make sure there is rinse-aid in the machine and that the correct amount is dispensed (see below).
HOW TO LOAD THE MACHINE First scrape off large remnants of food. You do not need to rinse the dishes beforehand, but remove all hard objects (see also note on sand above). The UPPER RACK is used for cups, glasses, small dishes and plates, bowls, ladles and other long objects which are not suitable for placing in the cutlery basket {excessively long objects in the cutlery basket may obstruct the upper spray arm). Place cups and glasses upside down, preferably at an angle so that the water can run off.
FILLING THE DETERGENT DISPENSER The detergent dispenser is on the inside of the door and is graduated to indicate the different amounts to be dispensed. Use powder detergent, not ordinary washing-up liquid. Use only good quality dishwasher detergent, otherwise there is a risk of excessive foaming and machine breakdowns. Follow the dosage instructions on the packet. Do not forget to close the dispenser; it opens automatically while the programmer is running.
FILLING THE RINSE-AID DISPENSER When the indicator light on the panel comes on, the rinse-aid needs topping up. Keep filling until the rinse-aid is visible in the dispenser. The lamp does not go out until the container is just over half-full, approx. 60 ml. Carefully wipe away any spills to avoid excessive foaming. If excessive foaming does occur, you can clean foam away from the machine by pouring a tablespoonful of cooking oil into the machine and running a short programmer without detergent.
