USING THE APPLIANCE This appliance is designed for domestic use only, specifically for the storage of edible foodstuffs. This appliance is designed to operate in ambient temperatures (surrounding air temperature) between 10°C (50°F) and 32°C If these temperatures are exceeded i.e., colder or warmer, the appliance will not operate correctly, Should the ambient temperatures be exceeded for long periods, the temperatures in the freezer section will rise above -18°C and food spoilage may occur.
Mains On / Off Switch For the appliance to operate this switch must be in the 1 position as well as it being plugged into the mains supply. Indicator Light The green indicator light is situated in the control panel under the flap. When the appliance is switched on at the mains the green indicator light will glow and continue to glow until the appliance is switched off at the mains.
Larder Compartment The correct temperature for safe storage of fresh food inside (32°F to 41°F). The Freezer Compartment The symbol means that your freezer will store frozen food at -18°C or colder allowing for long term frozen food storage and freezing of fresh food. The freezer temperature is controlled automatically by the thermostat situated in the control panel. Due 1o the different installations, methods of usage and weather conditions, adjustments to the temperature settings may be required. + | These are best assessed against a 1 temperature reading on a thermometer buried in the frozen food.
Food Storage To obtain the best results from your appliance, neither hot foods nor liquids which may evaporate, should be placed in the larder compartment. + Avoid buying frozen food if you cannot store it straight away. The use of an insulated container is advisable. When you arrive home place the frozen food in the freezer immediately.
i| 4 HINTS AND TIPS Normal Operating Sounds The advanced design of today's frost free appliances mean you may hear unfamiliar noises during everyday operation. The diagram below describes some of the noises you may hear. These are quite normal and mean your appliance is operating correctly. Remove blanking plug (N) on each door handle by using a flat bladed screwdriver, Remove door closure device (R} by removing screw {8) on both doors and fit to opposite side of door. Note that the door closure device is handed so when transferring it to the opposite side the device which was on the bottom of the top door will now be fitted to the 1op of the bottom door and visa versa.
