WARNING: Danger of fire: Do not store items on the cooking surfaces. Metallic objects such as knives, forks, spoons and lids should not be placed on the hob surface since they can get hot. Do not use a steam cleaner to clean the appliance. After use, switch off the hob element by its control and do not rely on the pan detector.
ENGLISH • • The bottom of the appliance can get hot. Make sure to install a noncombustible separation panel under the appliance to prevent access to the bottom. Make sure that the ventilation space of 2 mm, between the worktop and the front of the below unit, is free. Automatic modes When you set the Power limitation function to more than 4.5 kW, power of the hob is divided between two cooking zones in a pair. 4.13 Hob²Hood It is an advanced automatic function which connects the hob to a special hood. Both the hob and the hood have an infra — red signal communicator. Speed of the fan is defined automatically on basis of mode setting and temperature of the hottest cookware on the hob.
ENGLISH When you finish cooking and deactivate the hob, the hood fan may still operate for a certain period of time. After that time the system deactivates the fan automatically and prevents you from accidental activation of the fan for the next 30 seconds. ENGLISH 5.5 Hints and Tips for Hob²Hood function It may happen that other remote controlled appliances may block the signal. To avoid it do not operate the remote of the appliance and the hob at the same time. When you operate the hob with the function: • • • • Protect the hood panel from direct sunlight. Do not spot halogen light on the hood panel. Do not cover the hob panel. Do not interrupt the signal between the hob and the hood (for example with a hand or a cookware handle). See the picture.

The hob is not connected to an electrical supply or it is connected incorrectly. Check if the hob is correct‐ ly connected to the electri‐ cal supply. Refer to the connection diagram.
