° House fuse has blown or circuit breaker has tripped immediately foIIowing instattation.
House fuse may not be fully engaged. Check fuse and screw or engage circuit
breaker securely.

Burned-out or loose buIb. FoIlow the instructions under Oven Light to rep)ace or
tighten the bulb.
Make sure the oven door is close.
Controls not set properly. Fottow instructions.
Self-cleaning cycle was interrupted. Stop time must be set 2-4 hours past the start
time. FoIIow steps under "To Stop or interrupt a Setf-Cteaning Cycle.

* Over_ door isclosed. Door shoutd be open during broiling.
, Meat too close to the broiler unit. Reposition the rack to provide more clearance
between the meat and the broiler. Preheat broil element for quick searing operation.
* Meat not properly prepared. Remove excess fat from meat. S{aeh remaining fatty
edges to prevent curting_ but do not cut into the lean.
° Grid on b_oiter par_wrQr_gside-up. Grease does not drain into broiler pan. Always
place the grid on the broiler pan with the ribs up and the slots down to allow grease to
drip into the pan.
, BroiIer pan used without grid or grid cover with foil DO NOT use the broiler pan
without the grid or cover the grid with foil.
° Ovenneedstobec!eaned. Greasehasbuiltuponovensurfaces. ReguIarcleaningis
necessary when broiling frequently. Old grease or food spatters cause excessive
smoking.
