SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Important • Carefully read the instructions before operating the unit • This appliance only intended for use in an indoor domestic environment. Any other use is not recommended by the manufacturer and may cause fire, electrical shocks or other injury to person or property. • Rating: This unit must only be connected to a 220Ͳ240 V / 50 Hz earthed outlet.
• Do not dry laundry directly above the unit. To prevent water entering the dehumidifier, laundry should be placed at least 40 cm away from your dehumidifier. • Do not place the unit next to heat sources (e.g. electrical fires, fireplaces, etc.) • Desiccant dehumidifiers tend to absorb odours from the surrounding environment like cigarettes, cooking, cosmetics, new furniture etc. This smell described as a burning or sour smell.

PARTS CONTROL PANEL Power On/Off Button Used to turn the unit in and out of standby mode.
“Full Water” Indicator The red light will flash when the water tank requires emptying, or when the water tank is not correctly located within the unit On Indicator Green Light – Indicates the unit is on and the heating element is working Red Flashing Light – Anti Tip sensor, detecting the unit is not upright. If the unit has been tipped or tilted, do not use for at least 24 hours to allow it to dry out.
SMART Mode This mode ensure minimum human intervention and maximum savings. Smart mode sets the desired humidity for the unit to 55% RH which is the recommend humidity for normal households, and adjusts the fan speed depending on the current humidity of the room, following the table below. Above 70% Between 55% and 70% Less than 55% Unit will run in TURBO mode Unit will run in Sleep Mode Unit stops for 30 minutes before rechecking rooms humidity.
OPERATION Before operating the unit, please ensure it is plugged into a mains socket, and open the air deflector on the top of the unit. Switching the unit ON and OFF Press the power button to turn on the unit. The unit will start to work in sleep mode, with a desired humidity of 50% set. To turn off the unit press the power button again.
Setting the Dehumidification level Start the unit and leave it for 5Ͳ10 minutes on sleep mode (50%RH) until the humidistat is able to correctly read the humidity within the room. Press the humidity level key to select the desired humidistat controls from continuous operation (CO) to 40% 50% 60% 70%. While pressing the humidity level key the display cycles the humidistat set range for this unit from 40% through 50% 60% 70% back to continuous mode.
POSITIONING THE DEHUMIDIFIER The positioning of your dehumidifier can have a large impact on its performance and efficiency. In positioning the dehumidifier please ensure the circulation of air is not restricted around the unit. Please observe the figure below showing the clearance which is required around the unit Your ElectrIQ dehumidifier will begin to protect your home from the harmful effects of excessive moisture as soon as it is turned on.
Notes: • Do not remove the water tank immediately after the unit stops. Please wait a while to avoid the water dripping into the unit and causing damage. • Only empty the water tank when it is full or before moving or storing the unit. • Do not rest the tank on the floor because the bottom of the tank could be uneven and tank may fall and cause the water to spill. • When you remove the tank, do not touch sensors or any parts which are situated behind tank.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE Always switch off the unit and unplug from the mains before cleaning or performing any maintenance. When it is not in use for a long period it is advised to remove the plug from the plug socket. Do not use chemical solvents (such as benzene, alcohol or gasoline) as they may cause irreversible damage to the unit. Filter Cleaning The AirͲinlet may gather dust easily, please clean it often with a soft, damp cloth.
Water tank cleaning Every few weeks, clean the tank to prevent growth of mould, mildew and bacteria. Partially fill the tank with clean water and add a little mild detergent or light bleach solution. Swish it around in than empty the tank and rinse. NOTE: Do not use a dishwasher to clean the tank. After cleaning and drying the tank must be reinserted securely into dehumidifier in order to restart operation. Only use soft wet cloth or paper towel.
TROUBLESHOOTING Problem The unit does not work Solution Possible Cause 1. Disposal: Do not dispose this product as unsorted waste. Collection of such waste must be handled separately as special treatment is necessary. Recycling facilities are now available for all customers at which you can deposit your old electrical products. Customers will be able to take any old electrical equipment to participating sites run by their local councils.
