Press the SQ key to alternate between squelch on and
squelch off

Select USB mode and connect a signal
generator to the ANT connector. Inject -100 dBm
signal at the radios (operating frequency +1 kHz)
into the radio. Turn on the squelch and vary the
input frequency in a range of ± 500 Hz.
The radio should break squelch and audio
should be heard in the speaker
