YWS in an EtherLoop modem management system
EtherLoop modem management systems have the following requirements and
features:
client computers connected to EtherLoop modems must have valid IP
addresses for the network on which they reside.
YesWare’s billing and InterProxy capabilities are not available
EtherLoop modems can be managed locally (on the same LAN segment)
through modem MAC addresses, or across a LAN/WAN by assigning each
CO and CPE modem a TCP/IP address configuration for the LAN on
which they reside.
Procedure 6-3 on page 6-22 contains the steps to create and provision an
EtherLoop modem management system using modem MAC addresses and a
resident YWS.
Procedure 6-4 on page 6-23 contains the steps to create and provision an
EtherLoop modem management system using TCP/IP and a non-resident
YWS.
