Connections
Audio/Video Connections (4 Output Model Shown)
Audio Connections
Whole House Audio Distribution - Connect the VIA!dj’s ANALOG Audio Outputs
1, 2 and 3 to any three source inputs on the System6, System12, or Z•630 Multi-
Room Controller using RCA patch cables.
Home Theater Audio - Connect the VIA!dj’s coaxial or optical DIGITAL Audio Output
to a digital audio input on a A/V receiver, preamp or surround sound processor using a
coaxial digital or optical digital audio cable as appropriate.
Video Connections
The VIA!dj has three types of video outputs; all are continuously active.
Whole House Video Distribution - Connect the VIA!dj’s Composite Video Output to
a System12 A/V Controller or Z•880 Video Controller Input. This enables the
VIA!dj’s composite video signal to be sent to multiple VIA! Touch Panels and televisions
around the home.
S-Video - If desired, the S-Video Output of the VIA!dj may be connected to a television
with an S-Video Input. S-Video signals have certain length restrictions.
Consult your television’s instruction manual for details.
VGA - If desired, the VGA Output of the VIA!dj may be connected directly to a computer
monitor, compatible HDTV, projector or plasma display. Having a monitor located near
the VIA!dj controller can facilitate setup and programming.
