Selecting items Alphabetically

You can select an item from your Library directly by the ﬁ rst letter of its title using the

alphanumeric keypad on the VIA!dj remote control or the ABC button on the VIA!dj GUI.

Use the VIA!dj remote control's alphanumeric keypad to select a Library item by

initial letter:

• Display the appropriate Library menu for the item you want to ﬁ nd (e.g. Artists).

• Press the alphanumeric keypad key corresponding to the ﬁ rst letter of the item

you want to select.

For example to ﬁ nd the Artist Santessa, navigate to the Artists screen, then press the 7

key four times because S is the fourth letter on the 7 key. The VIA!dj GUI shows the ﬁ rst

Artist beginning with the letter S.

If there are several Artists beginning with the letter S, press the or keys to step

through until you ﬁ nd the desired Artist.

Press the 1 key to return to the top of the list.

Alternatively, you can use the ABC button on the VIA!dj GUI (or the key on

the romote control) to select a Library item by initial letter:

• Display the appropriate Library menu for the item you want to ﬁ nd (e.g. Artists).

• Press the ABC button on the VIA!dj GUI or the key on the remote control).

The TV screen displays a list of letters which correspond to the starting letter of the

items available in the chosen list:

• Use the or buttons to step between the letters in the list and

highlight the starting letter of the item you are trying to locate.

• Press the Select button.

The VIA!dj GUI will display the ﬁ rst Artist beginning with the letter S.

If there are several Artists beginning with the letter S, press the or buttons to step

through until you ﬁ nd the Artist for which you are looking.
