The CAT5MOD is a dual-purpose module.
It can be used as a simple single-channel
modulator for any video source, or it can
be used to receive both audio and video
signals from a remotely located source
down a single run of Cat-5 wire and dis-
tribute those signals to any TV or monitor
(CAT5AVWP required – see below).

The CAT5AVWP provides an easy way to
send the video and audio of a local source
(i.e. a DSS receiver or DVD player in a bed-
room) back to the ‘head end’ where it can
then be distributed around the home.
The CAT5AVWP connects to the ELAN
CAT5MOD, a single-channel modulator
that uses a single run of Cat-5 wire in
lieu of standard coax.
Note: The CAT5AVWP is not a standalone
video interface. Use only with CAT5MOD
