The VDA38H is a 3-IN by 8-OUT High-
Headroom RF Distribution Amplifier for
antenna or uni-directional cable systems.
It offers the highest headroom of any coax
panel available on the market. Like the
VDA38B, the VDA38H connects as many as
8 televisions to cable or antenna while
maintaining optimum signal strength to all
TVs. It also has the capability of sending IR
down each coax run for control of local
TVs or video source components.

The CXIRWP is a single-gang, Decora
®
-style
wall plate that is used in conjunction with
the ELAN SW VDA38B and VDA38H RF
Distribution Amplifiers. The VDA38s have a
built-in IR engine that transmits IR signals
down each run of coax, allowing you to set
up a simple IR control system for local
sources. The CXIRWP ‘breaks out’ the IR
signal from the coaxial cable and provides
3.5mm jacks for both an IR emitter and IR
receiver. The VDA38 supports up to 8
CXIRWP wall plates, one per coax run. IR
receivers or emitters may be connected to
any or all CXIRWPs.
