Tried and true––the ELAN HD Series Master
Control Unit (MCU) has been setting the
standard for reliable, upgradeable,
feature-rich multi-source/multi-zone
A/V distribution for over 12 years.
The HDC2000 provides the most flexible
and expandable architecture available for
distribution of audio, video, telephone
and more. The open chassis card-frame
design allows each system to be custom-
tailored to meet the specific needs and
lifestyle of the end user. Add home
automation features, RS-232 serial control,
in-home telecommunications and more by
simply adding the appropriate card.
Each HDC2000 is capable of distributing up
to ten audio sources into ten independent
listening areas, or zones. Up to two
HDC2000s can be linked together to create
a 10-source by 22-zone system (or 8 sources
by 24 zones). Up to three Z•880 Video
Controllers can be linked to the HDC2000,
providing simultaneous switching of audio
and video signals for up to 8 video sources
into 24 zones.

homeowner control of the entire HD
system from a home computer with
VIA!

PC System Control Software.
Program timed events, select from eight
digitally sampled door chimes, access and
monitor system status in any zone––all
from a home PC.
The HDC2000 has a five-year internal
battery backup, allowing it to be
programmed in the shop and taken out to
the job site ready to go. The battery backup
also provides memory protection in the
event of a power outage in the home.
