IRD4 AMPLIFIED IR
DISTRIBUTION BLOCK
The ELAN IRD4 is the heart of any stand-alone IR
distribution system. This amplified IR distribution
block can connect quad-plug or bare-lead ELAN
IR Sensors in one or more rooms and output their
signals to up to four IR emitters. The IRD4’s robust,
wide-bandwidth amplifier incorporates reverse volt-
age protection so that it has the ability to drive both
miniature and high-output emitters simultaneously.
And the IRD4 is expandable! Up to ten IRD4s can be
linked together to create a distributed IR system that
encompasses every room in the house.
Note: only 3.5 mm quad “mini” plugs can be
connected to the 3.5 mm IR Sensor input jack of
the IRD4. If the IRD4 is to be connected to the IR
output of any other ELAN product, use only the
3.5 mm quad-to-mono interconnect cable included
with the IRD4.

Specifically designed for extreme plasma or severe
CFL environments, the IRS7EP provides reliable
IR data transmissions even under the harshest
circumstances. The two-piece design allows you to
hide the main module inside a cabinet while the
small, unobtrusive sensor module can be adhered
to any flat service. A quad “mini” plug provides
an easy connection to the ELAN IRD4 Amplified IR
Distribution Block.
This sleek-looking miniature IR Sensor can be
surface mounted just about anywhere–cabinetry,
TVs, walls–you name it. Its unique quad “mini”
plug on the IRS1 connects to any ELAN IRD4 or
IRD2 Distribution Block and provides system status
and IR activity feedback to the on-board LEDs.

The SIM2 is a low-cost, simple automation
solution designed to work seamlessly with
ELAN
®
SENSE Sensors. The SIM2 functions as a
stand-alone four sensor input/two relay output
module that provides dry contact closure or 12V
output in response to sensor input status. Built-in
relays respond to sensor triggers differently
based on conditional logic “and / or” dip switch
settings on the unit. This allows any ELAN SENSE
automation sensor, or standard motion, driveway
or door/window sensor, to intelligently trigger
relays on the SIM2 based on the dip switch
settings. The SIM2 is ideal for Home Theater
automation applications, or any application that
requires the use of automated triggering through
the use of sensors.
