The HC8 is the integration centric member of
the our Controller family. The HC8 is designed to
mount on a shelf or in one our structured wiring
enclosures (see page 71) and connect to any of the
systems to which g! integrates, including Media.
If your design provides for locating most of the gear
in the mechanical room, then this is the controller
for your installation. Utilize industry standard 18”
and 36” enclosures to ensure you have the space
you need to do a professional installation.
The HC8 includes eight RS-232 ports, two RS-485
connections, four sensor connectors, two relays,
and three IR outputs. The HC8 also includes a hard
drive allowing it to store music and photos and
record IP cameras as well as two music stream
outputs. The HC8 comes loaded with all Base Apps
and is compatible with all Pro Apps (see page 15).
Finally, the HC8 does include connections for the
g! OSD, allowing you to connect it to a monitor.
Whether you have located the HC8 in a cabinet or
if you are doing an centrally distributed component
video distribution system, then the HC8 has
the connections you need for a complete and
professional installation.
