STRUCTURED WIRING
The CXIRWP is a single-gang, Decora
®
-style
wall plate that is used in conjunction with
the ELAN SW VDA38B and VDA38H RF
Distribution Amplifiers. The VDA38s have a
built-in IR engine that transmits IR signals
down each run of coax, allowing the
installer to set up a simple IR control system
for local sources. The CXIRWP “breaks out”
the IR signal from the coaxial cable and
provides 3.5 mm jacks for both an IR
emitter and IR receiver. The VDA38 supports
up to eight CXIRWP Wall plates, one per
coax run. IR receivers or emitters may be
connected to any or all CXIRWPs.
