it. Its unique quad “mini” plug connects
to any ELAN IRD4 Distribution Block and
provides system status and IR activity
feedback to the on-board LEDs.

Just about every room in every house has something in it that can adversely effect the reliable transmission
of IR control signals. Ambient light sources, such as compact fluorescent light fixtures (CFL) or sunlight
streaming through a window at a certain time of day can interfere with IR transmissions. As is well
documented, the emissions generated by Plasma TV sets can wreak havoc with IR. ELAN’s solution? A
complete line of IR Sensors that can be used in any environment! Each and every ELAN IR Sensor features
a unique filtering system that reduces interference from both ambient light sources and Plasma or LCD
TVs–and ELAN has a Sensor type for just about every application. ELAN IR Sensors can be flush-mounted into
a wall or cabinet, placed on a shelf or tabletop, or surfaced-mounted anywhere you need one. There are
even two Extreme Plasma Sensors that were designed to provide reliable IR control under the most severe
Plasma emission situations.
