2-8.4 Wireless Touch
Panel from ELAN. The VIA!2-8.4 is an
8.4 in., full-color, LCD touch panel that
not only provides wireless control of the
ELAN system, but is also a feature-packed
wireless controller for any home theater.
This sleek-looking, light-weight wireless
panel features new and updated ELAN
“motifs” that let the user customize the
look and feel of the display screen. The
8.4 in. high-brightness LCD display allows
for large, user-friendly button layouts for
the control of A/V components, lighting
and relay-activated devices such as drop-
down screens, projection lifts, drapes,
blinds and more.
As an ELAN zone controller, the VIA!2-8.4
provides in-zone wireless access to every
component and sub-system connected to
ELAN multi-room and RS-232 controllers.
This model includes 2-way text feedback
of ELAN’s tried-and-true library of SC4
System Controller serial drivers, including
the new Triple XM Satellite Audio
Receiver, the XM-R3, plus Ethernet control
of the VIA!dvdj DVD Controller.
As a home theater controller, the
VIA!2-8.4 puts every facet of a home’s
largest entertainment center right at your
fingertips. Control TVs, DVD players, A/V
receivers, surround sound processors,
screens, lifts, lighting, window treatments
and more all from the comfort of your
seat.
Future software/feature-set enhancements
to the VIA!2-8.4 Wireless Touch Panel will
be field-upgradeable through VIA!TOOLS
downloads. See VIA!TOOLS, pg. 6.
The VIA!2-8.4 comes with a tabletop
recharge/docking cradle, plug-in power
supply, a long-life internal battery pack, a
protective hard-rubber jacket and a stylus
for ease of use.
