THEATERPOINT BY ELAN HITTING YOUR SWEET SPOT
One Goal
Since its inception over 16 years ago, ELAN
has had one goal – to provide the finest,
most comprehensive and affordable line
of home entertainment products on the
market. ELAN has introduced everything
from one of the most extensive lines of
Structured Wiring products available, to
a new benchmark in high-performance
digital amplifiers. Our award-winning
multi-room A/V controllers and user
interfaces continue to reflect this goal,
providing unmatched reliability and
features for the price. When introduced
in 2002, our acclaimed M Series line of
architectural speakers set a new standard
for sonic quality at price points unmatched
by the rest of the industry. For 2006, ELAN
continues its obsession with innovative
design and quality to roll out one its
crowning achievements – TheaterPoint
Home Theater Speakers.
One Voice
Never before has a complete line of
cabinet loudspeakers and architectural
in-wall/in-ceiling speakers been so precisely
timbre-matched that any combination of
them can be used together to create the
ideal home theater listening environment.
Now you can match free-standing left/right
cabinet loudspeakers with a center channel
in-wall that is voiced exactly the same.
Match L/C/R cabinet speakers with in-wall
rear channel speakers. Or Match L/C/R
in-walls with rear channel in-ceiling
speakers. TheaterPoint voice-matched
speakers are designed to accommodate just
about any Home Theater speaker
configuration imaginable. Timbre-matching
opens up a world of possibilities. Delivering
speakers that not only sound alike, but
sound incredible.
Radically Innovative Design
Designed from the ground up by some
of the finest acoustical engineers in the
business, every component of every
speaker was carefully chosen for quality
and performance. Each driver in every
speaker, including the tweeters, is made
from woven Kevlar fibers. Only cast-
aluminum baskets were used to house the
woofers. Custom “Q“ crossover networks
and gold-plated binding posts are found in
every model. Since no two home theaters
are created equal, each speaker has a
3-way room compensation switch that
allows customizing the sound for bright,
neutral or warm rooms. A -20dB Bass-
Limiting Switch on all L/C/R models
eliminates low-frequency conflict with
subwoofers while boosting power to
the satellite speakers. The 0 degree/
180 degree phase switch on the two dipole
models ensures uniformity of the sound
field in relation to the front speakers.
Always Hitting Your Sweet Spot
Each TheaterPoint Speaker was designed to
allow the sound to be focused into the
primary listening area, or the “Sweet
Spot”, in a home theater. All L/C/R models
feature pivoting tweeters that enable the
very-directional high frequencies to be
pointed into the “Sweet Spot”. At the
center of each pivoting tweeter is a circular
notch for the placement of the ELAN Laser
Pointer. This focused beam of light allows
the tweeter to be directed precisely into
the “Sweet Spot” of every home theater
and is included with every pivoting tweeter
model. The THP800C In-Ceiling Speaker,
with its 360 degrees rotating baffle, and
the THP525W, with its 15 degree angled
baffle, allows the pin-pointing the sound
even further.
