D SERIES DIGITAL POWER AMPLIFIERS
Whether it’s 2, 6, 12 or 16 channels,
ELAN’s D Series Digital Power Amplifiers
are truly in a class all by themselves –
Class “T”, that is. The first complete line
of amplifiers to embrace Class T digital
technology, each D Series amp provides
the very best in performance, efficiency
and sound in highly-stylized chassis that
take up a lot less shelf and rack space
than amplifiers with similar or even lower
power ratings. And now ELAN offers four
models that cover just about any multi-
room audio application you can think of.
Typical amplifiers waste over half their
energy as heat. ELAN D Series amplifiers
use Class T digital technology that is over
85% efficient. This means almost all their
power is translated into incredible sound
instead of wasted heat. Class T digital
technology also optimizes the switching
frequency of each amplifier in order to
produce the highest possible fidelity with
all signal types. By removing switching
artifacts and correcting variations
between output transistors, D Series
amps boast THD + Noise specifications
unreachable by traditional Class-A/B
amplifiers. This translates into smooth,
high-quality audio at all times and a
low-heat/high-efficiency design that can
deliver clean, full-rated power from all
channels simultaneously!
Each D Series Digital Power Amplifier
features ELAN’s patent-pending ACE™
“Automatic Clip Eliminator” technology.
ACE is an ELAN-engineered,
microprocessor-controlled dynamic
leveling circuit that eliminates clipping
without the typical audio degradation of
traditional compressor-based clipping
circuits. It makes all D Series amps virtually
clip-proof, ensuring the cleanest power at
all times.
All D Series amps also feature a blue LED
display that makes for easy and accurate
setup of each channel’s level via the front
panel buttons. The “lockout feature”
ensures that finely tuned level settings
cannot be inadvertently changed.
Independent LEDs for each channel
indicate signal presence as well as the
automatic activation of the ACE circuitry.
