7.10 Site Status Input Configuration
Operation
There are 16 ( or 24 depending upon RCU hardware options ) status ( digital ) inputs available for monitoring,
alarming and display under user control on each RCU.
Any individual input can be configured to generate an alarm. This alarming function can be disabled if desired. The
state of a status input can also be monitored on the RCU front panel by configuring the Site panel LEDs
Status Input Title ( 12 chars max )
This is used on SENTINEL and on the RCU to provide a meaningful title for the status input. It is used on the Site
Status window and the Alarm Log window.
Alarm Configuration
Each of the status inputs can be configured to generate an alarm under certain conditions.
Alarm Disabled Will inhibit any alarm from this input.
Alarm if Status Input Active Will generate an alarm if the status input is active for longer than the Duration ( 30
Seconds or 3 Minutes ), an alarm will be generated by the RCU and reported to SENTINEL as soon as possible.
Alarm if Status Input Inactive Will generate an alarm if the status input is inactive for longer than the Duration (
30 seconds or 3 Minutes ), an alarm will be generated by the RCU and reported to SENTINEL as soon as possible.
Duration ( 30 Sec ) The status input must be in the alarm condition for greater than thirty seconds before it will be
recognized by the RCU as being in alarm.
Duration ( 3 Min ) The status input must be in the alarm condition for greater than three minutes before it will be
recognized by the RCU as being in alarm.
Enable Logging This enables event logging in the RCU if this input changes state for greater than 1 second.
Apply
This function applies the changes back to the configuration database. All changes made since entering the site
configuration window, or since the last 'Apply' will be written to the configuration database.
Note: Any changes applied cannot be undone unless the individually parameter is edited then applied back to the database. This
function does not update the RCU, only the configuration database. (See Site Configuration )

under user control on each RCU.
Any individual output can be configured for pulsed or latched operation.
Control Output Title ( 12 chars max )
This is used on SENTINEL and on the RCU to provide a meaningful title for the control output. It is used on the Site
Status window, the Alarm Log window and on the RCU panel.
Control Type
Pulsed This will allow the control output to be pulsed under user control from the site status window
Latched This will allow the control output to be latched on or off under user control from the site status window
Apply
This function applies the changes back to the configuration database. All changes made since entering the site
configuration window, or since the last 'Apply' will be written to the configuration database.
