7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
Precautions for safe handling
No smoking in the work area. Use Personal Protective Equipment. Ensure proper
ventilation in the workplace.
At the places where chemical products are handled, a monitoring of the workers
exposure will have to be performed, according to PPRA (Programa de Prevenção de
Riscos Ambientais - Program of Prevention of the Environmental Risks) of the NR-9*.
Handle according to the industrial best practices of hygiene and safety. Storage and
handling facilities must be equipped with eye washing installations and a safety shower.
Clothing and Personal Protective Equipment must always be clean and checked up
before use. Always use water, soap and cleaning lotions for personal hygiene. Good
operational procedures and of industrial hygiene help reduce the risk on chemical
product handling.
