In order to make use of the RS-232 front panel jack, the on-board RS-232E transceiver must be
enabled (install jumper J-COM). Adapters or adapter cable assemblies may be used to emulate
a PC style COM port. With the CCY-RIO installed, be sure not to enable the transceiver on the
rear I/O transition module simultaneously.
