OPERATION
The electrical controls are located on the front of the rear. They are:
• ON / OFF Switch
0
Dehumidifier OFF
I
Dehumidifier ON
• Digital Humidistat
Setting the Digital Humidistat
The Digital Humidistat is factory preset to give the optimum
level of control. Only adjustment of the desired set point is
required.
During normal operation, the display shows the current % Relative
Humidity within the space being conditioned.
The required humidity level can be set as follows:
• Press the “S” button once to access the set point
• Press the ▲ or ▼ button to change the display to the
desired Humidity level
Press the “S” button again to save the set point – The control returns to
displaying the current % Relative Humidity
• An hour counter is provided to display the total time the unit has been
in operation
To start the dehumidifier, turn the On / Off switch to position I. Then set the
required humidity set point as stated above.
The process fan will start immediately and if the digital humidity set point is
lower than the room humidity then after a slight delay the regeneration fan will
start – air can be felt blowing from the air outlets and the heater will come on.
The unit will operate at this setting until the required humidity level is reached
at which point the heaters and regeneration fan only will switch off. The unit
will continue to monitor the humidity level and reactivate the heaters and
regeneration fan as required. It will continue this cycle until the unit is
switched off.
Note. The DD400P is controlled by an electronic circuit board and uses dual
PTC (positive temperature coefficient) heater technology to provide the heat
necessary to “reactivate” the rotor. To ensure safe start up, the heaters are
switched on in stages – the first heater is switched on at start up and the
remaining heater switched on after 10 seconds.
