METHODS OF DEHUMIDIFI

N
Dehumidification is possible using two possible principles,
C
ondensation with
re
f
rigeration style dehumidi
fi
ers and Adsorption with desiccant dehumidi
fi
ers
.
Desiccant dehumidi
fi
ers per
f
orm exceptionally well when used in cooler climates,
or when a low dew-point, deep drying or low humidity levels are required.
S
ince
desiccant dehumidi
fi
ers do not produce water, they will work e
ff
ectively down to sub
zero
t
empera
t
ures.
Their operation is simplistic yet extremely e
ff
ective and reliable. Air (Process Air) is
drawn into the dehumidifier, where is passes over a wheel impregnated with

ilica
G
el. As the air passes over this wheel, any moisture present in the air, is absorbed into
the
S
ilica
G
el wheel before leaving the dehumidifier as warm dry air.
