5.2.1 Converting the saw for crosscut mode
•
First undo the lock nuts (15).
•
Move the saw bench (16) upwards with one
hand and at the same time push the machi-
ne head downwards with your other hand
using the handle (2). The saw blade (5) must
completely disappear into the slit in the saw
bench (16).
•
Retighten the locknut (15).
•
The locking fork (24) will have moved up-
wards as a result of this, thus releasing the
safety pin (23).
•
Push the machine head downwards using
the handle (2) and pull out the safety pin (23).
This will disconnect the switch (4) for bench
mode from the power supply and connect the
switch (3) for crosscut mode to the voltage
supply.
•
Important. The integral resetting springs will
automatically lift the machine head. Do not
simply let go of the handle (2), but allow the
machine head to rise slowly, applying slight
counterpressure as it does so.
•
Remove the bottom saw blade cover (14).
•
The saw has now been converted for cross-
cut mode.
5.2.2 Converting the saw for bench mode
•
Position the machine head vertically and set
the turntable (8) to 0°.
•
Secure the locking screws (10) and tightening
screw (22).
•
Place the bottom saw blade cover (14) on the
turntable (8) ensuring that the two rear feet
on the cover (14) engage securely behind the
stop rail (7).
•
Press the release button (1) and lower the
machine head using the handle (2) until the
bottom saw blade guard (14) completely co-
vers the saw blade.
•
Insert the safety pin (23) to secure the saw in
the bottom position. This will reroute the pow-
er from switch (3) to switch (4).
•
Undo the locking screw (15) and lower the
saw bench (16) to the required cutting depth.
•
Retighten the locknut (15).
•
Lowering the saw bench (16) will block the
safety pin (23) by the locking fork (24) so that
it cannot be pulled out.
•
The saw has now been converted back to
bench mode.
5.3 Adjusting the saw (Fig. 1/2)
•
Undo the locking screw (10) approx. 2 turns
to adjust the turntable (8).
•
The turntable (8) has locking points at angles
of 0°, 5°, 10°, 15°, 20°, 25°, 30°, 35°, 40° and
45°. Once the turntable (8) is engaged, the
setting must also be secured by tightening
the locking screw (10).
•
If different angle settings are required, the
turntable (8) may be secured in position using
only the locking screw (10).
•
Lightly press the machine head down while
at the same time pulling the retaining pin (23)
out from the motor mounting; this causes the
saw to move down to the lower working po-
sition. Turn the safety pin (23) through 90° so
that the machine head remains unlocked.
•
Swing up the machine head.
•
When the tightening screw (22) is loosened,
you can tilt the machine head to the left by up
to 45°.
•
Check the mains voltage against the voltage
details on the rating plate to ensure they are
identical and plug in the machine.
5.4 Precision adjustment of the stop for cros-
scut 90° (Fig. 19/20)
•
Lower the machine head and fasten in place
with the safety pin (23).
•
Slacken the tightening screw (22).
•
Place the angular stop (a) between the blade
(5) and the turntable (8).
•
Slacken the counternut (b) and adjust the ad-
justment screw (c) until the angle between the
blade (5) and the turntable (8) equals 90°.
•
Retighten the counternut (b) to secure this
setting.
5.5 Precision adjustment of the stop for miter
cut 45° (Fig. 19/20)
•
Lower the machine head and fasten in place
with the safety pin (23).
•
Fasten the turntable (8) in 0° position.
•
Undo the tightening screw (22) and use the
handle (2) to tilt the machine head to the left
until it coincides at 45°.
•
Place the 45° stop angle (f) between the bla-
de (5) and the turntable (8).
•
Slacken the counternut (d) and adjust the
adjustment screw (e) until the angle between
