Controlling the monitor by a computer
When the RS-232C terminal on the monitor is connected to the RS-232C serial terminal on the computer,
or when the LAN terminal on the monitor is connected to the LAN terminal on the computer, the computer
can be used to control the monitor. Refer to the “SETUP MANUAL” contained on the supplied CD-ROM for
details.

• The RS-232C function may not operate if your computer terminal is not correctly set up. Refer to the owner’s manual of the
computer for details.
• Refer to “SETUP MANUAL” contained on the supplied CD-ROM for the RS-232C specifi cations and commands.
• Do not connect the RS-232C cable to a terminal other than the RS-232C terminal on the computer. This may damage your
computer or monitor.
• Do not connect or disconnect an RS-232C serial control cable to or from the computer while it is on. This may damage your
computer.

WARNING
• When connecting to the LAN terminal, be sure to use the LAN cable supplied with this monitor.
• As shown in the illustration above, connect the supplied LAN cable in the way that the ferrite core attached to the cable is
placed closer to the LAN terminal of the monitor.
• If using LAN cables other than the supplied LAN cable, this monitor may not function properly. (In accordance with FCC
regulations, this cable is supplied as a LAN cable for use with this monitor.)
