Hot Swapping (Modem Removal) Problems
In general, you can remove and reinsert DIVA Mobile while the PC is on.
Some applications, however, do not support “hot swapping”; problems may
occur if you remove the DIVA Mobile while the PC is on.
Note: Before removing DIVA Mobile close all applications which are using
the adapter.
In order to correctly remove DIVA Mobile during operation follow these
steps:
1 Click the PC Card icon on the Taskbar next to the Windows 95 clock.
The PC Card (PCMCIA) Properties dialog box opens; it displays a list
of PCMCIA devices (in the Socket Status tab).
2 Select Eicon DIVA Mobile ISDN-V.34 combo card from the list of
PCMCIA devices.
3 Click Stop. The following message will appear:
“You may safely remove this device”.
4 Click OK. You can now remove the device.
If DIVA Mobile is not immediately detected after reinserting it into the PC
Card slot, reboot your system.
