Viewing reports
You can view reports from the RoboInfo Publisher authoring tool or from the
RoboEngine Configuration Wizard.
Security when accessing reports over the Internet
Two security issues concerning remote reporting are browser support and
browser access. We recommend using Microsoft Internet Explorer for viewing
and executing reports. Internet Explorer 4.x and higher provides complete
integration with the Windows NT platform. Ultimately, the security you establish
for accessing reports depend on the level of security you require and the unique
design of your system.
Note: Windows NT authentication is proprietary to Microsoft and is, therefore,
not supported by the Netscape Navigator browser. Netscape does not
provide complete integration with Windows NT, but a good security
model can be designed using version 4.x or higher.
There are two kinds of reports available in RoboInfo Publisher. First, from the
Tools menu, authors can access a variety of reports that are about their
project, such as a table of contents summary and an unused files report.
Second, from the RoboInfo Reports tab, authors can view the RoboInsight
reports, which provide data about how users look for assistance.
To view RoboInsight reports:
4 From RoboInfo Publisher: Click the RoboInfo Reports tab in the lower
right-hand side of the program window.
4 From RoboEngine: From the Configuration Manager's Projects panel,
click View Reports.
Note: When you view reports, you see statistics for your entire engine.
Information is included about all projects whether the projects are
merged or not.
