Obtaining more search results
One of the biggest problems that users face when conducting searches for
information is receiving too many, mostly irrelevant, results. The natural
language search feature in RoboInfo solves the problem by returning topics in
order of prominence for the searched word. This is an effective technique for
engines containing a large amount of information, but can be inefficient when
used with a limited amount of content.
If you are not receiving an adequate number of good hits when you or your
users conduct a natural language search, you can change the search relevance
setting to improve the results.
To change the search relevance setting:
1 Open the Configuration Manger. (On the computer where you installed
RoboEngine, double-click the Configuration Manager icon on the
desktop.)
2 Open the engine.
3 Click on the Projects icon on the left side, or from the View menu,
click Projects.
4 Under Search Settings, highlight the number next to Search Relevance.
This number specifies a percentage spread to allow (default is 75%, where
all results must have a score >=75%).
For example, at the default setting, when a search takes place, only items
within 75% of the top hit are included. To obtain more search results,
change the setting to a lower number such as 65 or 70.
