Chapter 4 Managing Engines

In order to do a custom project merge, the automatic merge feature must be

turned off in RoboEngine (by default it is "on"). For more information about

custom merging, see the RoboInfo Publisher online Help system.

To turn off the automatic merge feature:

1 Open the Configuration Manger. (On the computer where you installed

RoboEngine, double-click the Configuration Manager icon on the

desktop.

2 Open the engine.

3 Select the Projects panel.

4 Select the Automatically merge all projects check box to remove the

check mark.

Common publishing problems

Following are some common problems that occur when authors using RoboInfo

Publisher try to publish their content to the engine.

Problem:

Solution:

"Cannot connect to the server:

<Server URL>"

This problem is caused by a

misspelled or invalid server URL. This

error can also occur if the server or

Web service is down.

"Unsupported Server"

The server URL is correct, but an

engine has not yet been created using

the Configuration Wizard.

"403 Error"

This is a secure server and the

content author is trying to publish

with the "http" prefix. They should

use "https" instead.

"Invalid Authentication"

Author does not have authorization to

publish to the server. Permission

should be granted. (The author may

need to use an Administrator

account.)
