Watching the database size
You should periodically check that the database size is not too large. If the
database file is getting too large, you can delete old data.
To delete old data:
1 Open the Configuration Manger. (On the computer where you installed
RoboEngine, double-click the Configuration Manager icon on the
desktop.
2 Open the engine.
3 Select the Database panel. You have the following options under
Database Maintenance:
n Delete all data over [number of] days old: Enter how often, in
number of days, you want the data to be deleted.
n Delete daily at [time]: Enter the time you want the data to be
deleted each day.
n Keep all data: Select this option if you do not want to delete any
tracking information.
Note: In Microsoft Access, when data is deleted from the database, the size of
the database is not actually reduced until you shrink or compress the
database. To do this in Microsoft Access select Tools - Database
Utilities - Compact and Repair Database.
