Obtaining the IP address of the engine
Following is one way to determine an IP address.
To determine if an IP address is selected for a particular engine:
1 Open the Microsoft Internet Information Service Manager. (It may be
located in the following default location: from the Start menu, select
Programs - Windows NT 4.0 Option Pack - Microsoft Internet
Information Server - Internet Server Manager.)
2 Right-click on the intended engine and select Properties.
3 Select the Web Site tab.
n If the IP Address field contains an IP address, this is the engine name.
n If the IP Address field contains "(All Unassigned)," then click
Advanced.
n If a Host Header Name is listed, this is the engine name. (The Host
Header Name can be set in Microsoft's Internet Information Service
Manager. For example: http://Intranet.)
n If no IP address or Host Header Name is listed, then you need to
determine what the engine URL is. If this is the only Web site on the
engine, then the engine URL is probably the machine name.
Obtaining the URL of the engine
If your company has several registered domain Web addresses, ensure that you
are using the correct one.
To obtain the URL of the engine:
Determine the actual registered domain Web address. For example, a typical
address would be in the following format:
http://MyEngine.com
