TROUBLESHOOTING
WARNING:
Always remove the safety key and battery pack when servicing
or transporting the mower. Always protect your hands by wearing heavy gloves
or wrapping the cutting edges with rags or other materials when performing any
maintenance on the mower blade.
PROBLEM CAUSE SOLUTION
The mower fails
to start
The safety key is not inserted
in the slot.
Insert the safety key; press the key
while pulling the bail switch; release
the safety key.
The battery pack is depleted.
Charge the battery pack.
The battery pack is not
attached to the mower.
Attach the battery pack to the
mower.
The battery or mower
circuitry is too hot. (The
power indicator on the mower
will illuminate orange for 10
seconds)
Allow the battery pack or mower
to cool until the temperature drops
below 152°F (67°C).
The side rails are not
extended to their maximum
length and the clamps are not
locked in position.
Fully extend the handle and lock
both clamps.
The handle is not set at one
of the two operating positions.
Adjust the handle to one of the two
operating positions.
The mower deck is clogged
with grass
and debris.
Clean the mower deck and make
certain that the blade has freedom
of movement.
The mower cuts
unevenly
The blade is dull.
Sharpen or replace the blade.
The cutting height is not set
properly.
Move the deck height to a higher
setting.
The blade is assembled
incorrectly.
Reassemble the blade, following the
section “INSTALLING THE BLADE” in
this manual.
