SAFETY RULES FOR CORDLESS LAWN MOWER DANGER: This machine was built to be operated according to the rules for safe operation included in this manual. As with any type of power equipment, carelessness or error on the part of the operator can result in serious injury. This machine is capable of amputating hands and feet and throwing objects. Failure to observe all safety instructions could result in serious injury or death.
Thoroughly inspect the area where the equipment is to be used. Remove all stones, sticks, wire, toys and other foreign objects that could be tripped over or picked up and thrown by the blade. Thrown objects can cause serious personal injury. Plan your mowing pattern to avoid discharge of material toward roads, sidewalks, bystanders and the like. Also, avoid discharging material against walls or obstructions, which may cause discharged material to ricochet back toward the operator.
Shut the motor off and wait until the blade comes to a complete stop, then remove the safety key and battery pack before cleaning the machine, removing or replacing the grass bag, mulching insert, or side discharge chute or unclogging the chute. The cutting blade continues to rotate for a few seconds after the motor is shut off. Never place any part of the body in the blade area until you are sure the blade has stopped rotating.
Service WARNING: Grass bag components, the discharge cover, side discharge chute, mulching insert and trailing shield are subject to wear and damage, which could expose mowing parts or allow objects to be thrown and could increase the risk of injury. For safety protection, frequently check all components and replace damaged components immediately with identical replacement parts, listed in this manual.

It has been designed, engineered and manufactured to give you the best possible dependability and performance. This manual contains important information on to the safe assembly, operation and maintainance of your mower. Read it carefully before using the mower.
ASSEMBLY WARNING: To prevent accidental starting that could cause serious personal injury, always remove the safety key and the battery pack from the tool when assembling parts. WARNING: Do not attempt to modify this tool or create accessories not recommended for use with this mower. Any such alteration or modification is misuse and could result in a hazardous condition leading to serious injury.

SAFETY KEY The key must be present and inserted before the motor can be started. 1d Side Discharge Chute BAIL SWITCH The bail switch is located on the upper handle of the mower. The switch engages and disengages the motor/ blade. WARNING: The bail switch and the key are safety devices. Never attempt to bypass their operations. ELECTRIC BRAKE Quickly stops blade rotation when the bail switch is released.
OPERATION 2 ASSEMBLING THE GRASS BAG 1. C heck the grass bag before assembling to make sure there is no damage. 2. Slide the grass bag onto the frame, as shown in Fig. 2. 3. Assemble the top clips to the frame, as shown in Fig. 3, then assemble the two side clips. Assemble the bottom clip last. 4. The completely assembled grass bag is shown in Fig. 4.
ADJUSTING THE FOLDABLE HANDLE WARNING: Do not attempt to start the mower until the handle has been locked at one of the two preset operating positions. 5 1. Locked Storage Position: Your mower is shipped with the handle in the compact, locked position (Fig. 5). 2. Grass Bag Attachment/Removal Position: Press and hold the quick-adjust lever with your right hand to release the handle from the locked storage position.
ATTACHING/REMOVING THE GRASS BAG WARNING: Do not at any time make any adjustment to the lawn mower without first stopping the motor and removing the safety key. NOTICE: Remove the mulching insert or side discharge chute before attaching the grass bag on the mower; 9 Rear Discharge Door Hook 1. Adjust the handle to the Grass Bag Attachment/Removal Position (please see ADJUSTING THE FOLDABLE HANDLE). 2. Lift the rear discharge door. 3. Hook the grass bag assembly on the pivot rod (Fig. 9).
ATTACHING/REMOVING THE SIDE DISCHARGE CHUTE (Fig. 11a & b) WARNING: Do not at any time make any adjustment to the lawn mower without first stopping the motor and removing the safety key. 11a 1. Lift the rear discharge door. 2. Align the lower edge of the discharge with the V-slot of the doorsill and insert it in the slot. 3. Push the top of the discharge and insert it into the mower. Check to see that it is securely seated in the deck. 4.
TO ATTACH/DETACH THE BATTERY PACK (Fig. 13) Charge before first use. WARNING: If any parts are broken or missing, do not attempt to attach the battery pack to the mower or operate the mower until the broken or missing parts are replaced. Failure to do so could result in serious injury. 13 Battery Cover Battery-Release Button 1. The battery cover is hinged. Raise the battery cover by lifting the front of the cover. 2.
STARTING/STOPPING THE MOWER (Fig. 14, 15 & 16) caution: Do not attempt to override the operation of the safety key and bail switch. WARNING: The operation of any lawn mower can result in foreign objects being thrown into the eyes, which can damage your eyes severely. Always wear safety glasses while operating the mower, or while performing any adjustments or repairs on it. WARNING: Do not use the mower in the rain.
LED WORK LIGHTS (Fig. 17) The LED work lights are located on the front of the battery compartment. To turn on the lights, press the switch button (Fig. 18). The work lights provide bright light in front of the mower. To turn off the work lights, press the switch button again. POWER INDICATOR ON THE MOWER (Fig. 18 & 19) The mower is equipped with a power indicator to indicate the charge capacity status of the battery pack and the working status of the mower.
MOWER OVERLOAD PROTECTION To prevent damage due to overload conditions, do not try to remove too much grass at one time. Slow down your cutting pace or raise the cut height. Your mower has built-in overload circuit protection. When the mower is overloaded, the power indicator on the mower will blink orange. The mower can endure a short time of overload. You can slow your speed to reduce the load; otherwise the protection circuit will shut off the mower automatically.
SLOPE GAUGE (Fig. 20) WARNING: Do not mow a slope that has an angle of greater than 15° (a rise of approximately 2 1/2’ (0.75m) every 10’ (3m). Mow across the face of a slope, and never up and down. Use Fig. 20 as a guide in order to identify slopes that cannot be mowed safety. MULCHING TIPS WARNING: Inspect the area where the mower is to be used, and remove all stones, sticks, wire and other debris that might be thrown by the rotating blade.

MAINTENANCE WARNING: To avoid serious personal injury, always remove the safety key and battery pack from the mower before cleaning or performing any maintenance. WARNING: When servicing, use only identical replacement parts. Use of any other parts may create a hazard or cause product damage. To ensure safety and reliability, all repairs should be performed by a qualified service technician. CLEANING THE MOWER WARNING: To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not expose the mower to water.
NOTICE: To re-install or replace the blade, be sure to replace the parts in the exact order in which they were removed (Fig. 22). Align the inner flange with the shaft and assemble it in place. While wearing protective gloves, position the blade on the inner flange with the recess (as shown in Fig. 23) toward the mower.
SHARPENING THE BLADE WARNING: Always protect your hands by wearing heavy gloves or wrapping the cutting edges with rags or other materials when performing any maintenance on the mower blade. Always remove the safety key and battery pack when servicing or transporting the mower. WARNING: Use proper eye protection while removing, sharpening, and installing blade. WARNING: A worn, cracked, or damaged blade can break, and piece of the damaged blade can become dangerous projectiles.
6. Replace the blade on the mower and tighten it securely (please see INSTALLING THE BLADE) 27a 27b WARNING: An unbalanced blade will cause excessive vibration when rotating at high speeds. It may cause damage to mower and could break causing personal injury. LUBRICATION Lubricate the axle on the inside of the wheels and deck height adjustment joint at least once a season with light oil (or motor oil) (Fig. 27a & 27b).
REPLACING THE WHEELS (Fig. 29) WARNING: Always remove the safety key and battery pack when servicing or transporting the mower. Use a flat blade screwdriver to pry the dust cover away from the wheel. Use an adjustable or 1/2 inch (13mm) wrench to turn the bolt counterclockwise to loosen it. Remove the bolt, the worn wheel and the wave washer from the wheel axle. Mount the wave washer and the new wheel on the wheel axle. Note that the round recess must face outward.
TROUBLESHOOTING WARNING: Always protect your hands by wearing heavy gloves or wrapping the cutting edges with rags or other materials when performing any maintenance on the mower blade. Always remove the safety key and battery pack when servicing or transporting the mower PROBLEM CAUSE SOLUTION The mower fails to start The safety key is not inserted in the slot. LLAVE DE SEGURIDAD Debe insertar la llave para poder encender el motor. INTERRUPTOR DE SEGURIDAD El interruptor de seguridad está ubicado en la empuñadura superior de la cortadora. OPERACIÓN 2 ENSAMBLAJE DE LA BOLSA RECOLECTORA 1. Revise la bolsa recolectora antes de ensamblarla para controlar que no esté dañada. 2. Deslice la bolsa recolectora por el marco, como se muestra en la Fig. 2. 3. Ensamble los sujetadores superiores al marco, como se muestra en la Fig. 3, luego ensamble los dos sujetadores laterales. Finalmente, ensamble el sujetador inferior. 4. En la Fig. 4, se muestra la bolsa recolectora completamente ensamblada.

COLOCAR Y QUITAR LA BOLSA RECOLECTORA ADVERTENCIA: Bajo ninguna circunstancia realice ajustes a la cortadora de césped sin antes apagar el motor y quitar la llave de seguridad. AVISO: Quite el accesorio de trituración o el conducto lateral de descarga antes de colocar la bolsa recolectora en la cortadora. 9 Puerta de descarga posterior Gancho 1. Ajuste la empuñadura en la posición para colocar o quitar la bolsa recolectora (consulte la sección “AJUSTE DE LA EMPUÑADURA PLEGABLE”). 2.
COLOCAR Y QUITAR EL CONDUCTO LATERAL DE DESCARGA (Fig. 11a y b) ADVERTENCIA: Bajo ninguna circunstancia, realice ajustes a la cortadora de césped sin antes apagar el motor y quitar la llave de seguridad. 1. Levante la puerta de descarga posterior. 2. Alinee el borde inferior del conducto de descarga con la ranura en V del umbral e insértelo en la ranura. 3. Presione la parte superior del conducto de descarga e insértelo dentro de la cortadora.
PARA COLOCAR Y QUITAR EL PAQUETE DE BATERÍAS (Fig. 13) 13 Cargue antes del primero uso ADVERTENCIA: Si hay alguna pieza rota o faltante, no intente colocar el paquete de baterías ni operar la cortadora hasta no reemplazar las piezas rotas o faltantes. De lo contrario, se pueden producir lesiones graves. Cubierta de la batería Botón para destrabar la batería 1. La cubierta de la batería tiene bisagras. Para levantar la cubierta de la batería, debe levantar la parte frontal de la cubierta. 2.
ENCENDER Y APAGAR LA CORTADORA (Fig. 14, 15 y 16) precaución: No intente anular la operación de la llave de seguridad ni del interruptor de seguridad. ADVERTENCIA: La operación de cualquier cortadora de césped puede causar que se disparen objetos extraños hacia sus ojos, lo que puede resultar en daños graves en los ojos. Use siempre anteojos de seguridad mientras opere la cortadora o mientras realice cualquier ajuste o reparación. ADVERTENCIA: No use la cortadora bajo la lluvia.
LUCES LED DE TRABAJO (Fig. 17) Las luces LED de trabajo están ubicadas en el frente del compartimiento para la batería. Para encender las luces, presione el botón interruptor (Fig. 18). Las luces de trabajo brindan una luz brillante en la parte frontal de la cortadora. Para apagar las luces de trabajo, vuelva a presionar el botón interruptor. PROTECCIÓN CONTRA SOBRECARGAS DE LA CORTADORA Para evitar daños ocasionados por situaciones de sobrecarga, no intente cortar demasiado césped de una sola vez. Reduzca el ritmo de corte o eleve la altura de corte. Su cortadora cuenta con una protección de circuito contra sobrecargas incorporada. Si la cortadora se sobrecarga, aparecerá una luz anaranjada intermitente en el indicador de encendido. La cortadora puede resistir poco tiempo de sobrecarga.
INDICADOR DE PENDIENTE (Fig. 20) ADVERTENCIA: No corte en una pendiente con un ángulo superior a los 15° (una elevación de aproximadamente 2 1/2 pulg [0,75 m] cada 10 pulg [3 m]). Corte de forma transversal a la pendiente y nunca hacia arriba ni hacia abajo. Use Fig. 20 como guía para identificar las pendientes que no pueden cortarse de modo seguro.

MANTENIMIENTO ADVERTENCIA: Para evitar lesiones personales graves, quite siempre la llave de seguridad y el paquete de baterías de la cortadora antes de limpiarla o de realizar cualquier tipo de mantenimiento. ADVERTENCIA: Cuando realice el mantenimiento, solo use piezas de repuesto idénticas. El uso de otras piezas puede generar un peligro o dañar el producto. Para garantizar la seguridad y confiabilidad, todas las reparaciones las debe realizar un técnico calificado.
AVISO: Para reinstalar o para reemplazar la cuchilla, asegúrese de que las partes estén exactamente en el mismo orden en que las quitó (Fig. 22). Alinee la brida interna con el eje y ensámblela en su lugar. Sin sacarse los guantes protectores, coloque la cuchilla sobre la brida interna con la hendidura hacia la cortadora (como se muestra en la Fig. 23).
CÓMO AFILAR LA CUCHILLA ADVERTENCIA: Proteja las manos con guantes resistentes o envuelva los bordes de corte con paños u otro material al realizar el mantenimiento de la cuchilla de la cortadora. Para transportar la cortadora o realizar su mantenimiento, quite siempre la llave de seguridad y el paquete de baterías. ADVERTENCIA: Use la protección ocular adecuada para quitar, afilar y colocar la cuchilla.

Reemplace la cuchilla de la cortadora y ajústela firmemente (consulte la sección “CÓMO INSTALAR LA CUCHILLA”). 27a 27b ADVERTENCIA: Si la cuchilla no tiene simetría, vibrará excesivamente cuando gire a alta velocidad. Puede provocar daños a la cortadora, y esta se puede romper y causar lesiones personales. LUBRICACIÓN Lubrique el eje en el interior de las ruedas y la junta de ajuste de altura de la plataforma al menos una vez por temporada con aceite ligero (o aceite de motor) (Fig. 27a y 27b).
CÓMO REEMPLAZAR LAS RUEDAS (Fig. 29) ADVERTENCIA: Para transportar la cortadora o realizar su mantenimiento, quite siempre la llave de seguridad y el paquete de baterías. Use un destornillador de punta plana para sacar la cubierta antipolvo de la rueda. Use una llave ajustable o una llave de 1/2 pulg (13 mm) para girar el perno en dirección contraria a las agujas del reloj para desajustarla. Quite el perno, la rueda gastada y la arandela ondulada del eje de la rueda.
SOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS ADVERTENCIA: Proteja las manos con guantes resistentes o envuelva los bordes de corte con paños u otro material al realizar el mantenimiento de la cuchilla de la cortadora. DESCRIPTION KNOW YOUR STRING TRIMMER (Fig. 8) The safe use of this product requires an understanding of the information on the tool and in this operator’s manual, as well as knowledge of the project you are attempting. Before using this product, familiarize yourself with all operating features and safety rules.
ADJUSTABLE FRONT-ASSIST HANDLE For easy control of the trimmer during cutting. REAR HANDLE Ergonomic handle with overmold improves comfort and grip. TRIGGER To turn the string trimmer On and Off and to adjust the trimmer head speed. LOCK-OFF LEVER Helps prevent accidental or unauthorized activation of the trigger. It must be depressed before the trigger can be activated. HINGE (ST1500-S ONLY) Connects and locks the two foldable shafts. TRIMMER HEAD (BUMP HEAD) The cutting attachment for cutting grass.
ASSEMBLY WARNING: If any parts are damaged or missing, do not operate this product until the parts are replaced. Use of this product with damaged or missing parts could result in serious personal injury. WARNING: Do not attempt to modify this product or create accessories not recommended for use with this string trimmer. To remove battery pack (Fig. 10) WARNING: Always be aware of the 10 Press to Release location of your feet and children or pets around you when pressing the batteryrelease button. Serious injury could result if the battery pack falls. NEVER remove the battery pack at a high location. ◾◾ Hold the battery pack in the palm of your hand. ◾◾ Press the battery-release button with your thumb; the battery pack will disengage from the latch. ◾◾ Grasp the battery pack and remove it from the string trimmer.
STARTING/STOPPING THE STRING TRIMMER Before starting the string trimmer ◾◾ Make sure that you have a secure and balanced footing. ◾◾ Stand upright and hold the string trimmer in a relaxed position. ◾◾ Make sure that the cutting line is not touching the ground or any other objects. ◾◾ Hold the string trimmer with both hands: one hand on the rear handle and one hand on the front-assist handle. To start the string trimmer (Fig. 12) 1. Press down the lock-off lever and hold it in that position.
USING THE STRING TRIMMER WARNING: To avoid serious personal injury, wear goggles or safety glasses at all times when operating this unit. Wear a face mask or dust mask in dusty locations. Clear the area to be cut before each use. Remove all objects, such as rocks, broken glass, nails, wire, or string that can be thrown or become entangled in the cutting attachment. Clear the area of children, bystanders, and pets. At a minimum, keep all children, bystanders and pets at least 100 feet (30.
WARNING: Never use water for cleaning your trimmer. Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of commercial solvents. Use clean clothes to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc. Tips for best trimming results (Fig. 13) 13 Direction of rotation ◾◾ The correct angle for the cutting attachment is parallel to the ground. ◾◾ This string trimmer allows you to rest the bump knob on the ground for more comfortable operation.
ADJUSTING CUTTING LINE LENGTH 14 The trimmer head allows the operator to release more cutting line without stopping the motor. As line becomes frayed or worn, additional line can be released by lightly tapping the bump knob on the ground while operating the trimmer (Fig. 14). Wind the spool with new line WARNING: To prevent serious personal injury, remove the battery pack from the tool before servicing, cleaning, changing attachments or removing material from the unit. 1. Use a clean cloth to clean the inner surface of the spool retainer and spool base.

SHARPEN THE LINE-CUTTING BLADE WARNING: Always protect your hands by wearing heavy gloves when performing any maintenance on the line-cutting blade. 1. Remove the line-cutting blade from the guard. 2. Secure the blade in a vise. 3. Wear proper eye protection and gloves and be careful not to cut yourself. 4. Carefully file the cutting edges of the blade with a fine-tooth file or sharpening stone, maintaining the original cutting edge angle. 5.

Avant d’utiliser ce produit, familiarisez-vous avec toutes les caractéristiques de fonctionnement et consignes de sécurité.
POIGNÉE DE MANŒUVRE AVANT RÉGLABLE Permet de contrôler facilement le taille-bordure pendant la coupe. POIGNÉE ARRIÈRE Poignée ergonomique surmoulée améliorant le confort et la prise. GÂCHETTE Permet de mettre en marche et d’arrêter le taille-bordure et d’en ajuster la vitesse de la tête. LEVIER DE BLOCAGE Aide à prévenir l’activation accidentelle de la gâchette.Il doit être maintenu enfoncé afin d’enclencher la gâchette.
ASSEMBLAGE AVERTISSEMENT : S’il y a des pièces manquantes ou endommagées, ne tentez pas d’utiliser la scie à chaîne tant que ces pièces n’auront pas été remplacées. L’utilisation du taille-bordure avec des pièces endommagées ou manquantes peut causer des blessures graves. AVERTISSEMENT : Ne tentez pas de modifier le taille-bordure ou de créer des accessoires qui ne sont pas recommandés pour une utilisation avec ce taille-bordure.
FONCTIONNEMENT AVERTISSEMENT : Même si vous connaissez parfaitement le taille-bordure, soyez vigilant. N’oubliez pas qu’une fraction de seconde d’inattention suffit à se blesser gravement. AVERTISSEMENT : Portez toujours des lunettes de sécurité avec écrans latéraux conformes à la norme ANSI Z87.1, ainsi que des protecteurs d’oreilles. Sinon, vous pourriez recevoir des débris dans les yeux et vous blesser gravement.

MISE EN MARCHE ET ARRÊT DU TAILLE-BORDURE Avant de mettre le taille-bordure en marche, suivez les instructions ci-dessous : ◾◾ Assurez-vous que vous avez une posture sécuritaire et un bon équilibre. ◾◾ Tenez-vous droit et tenez le taille-bordure sans vous crisper. ◾◾ Assurez-vous que le fil de coupe ne touche pas le sol ni aucun autre objet. ◾◾ Tenez le taille-bordure avec les deux mains : une main sur la poignée arrière et l’autre sur la poignée de manœuvre avant.
Avant chaque utilisation, dégagez l’aire de travail.Enlevez tous les objets, comme les cailloux, les éclats de verre, les clous, les câbles ou les fils, qui pourraient être projetés par le taille-bordure ou qui pourraient rester coincés dans le dispositif de coupe. Assurezvous de garder les enfants, les personnes et les animaux à distance. Ils doivent être à une distance d’au moins 30,48 m (100 pi) pour éviter de recevoir des projections de débris.
AVERTISSEMENT : N’utilisez jamais d’eau pour nettoyer le taille-bordure. Évitez d’utiliser des solvants pour nettoyer les pièces en plastique. La plupart des plastiques sont susceptibles d’être endommagés par divers types de solvants commerciaux. Utilisez un linge propre pour enlever la terre, la poussière, l’huile, la graisse, etc. Conseils pour bien réussir la taille des bordures (figure 13) ◾◾ Pour obtenir un angle de coupe 13 Sens de rotation adéquat, le dispositif de coupe doit être parallèle au sol.
RÉGLAGE DE LA LONGUEUR DU FIL DE COUPE 14 La tête du taille-bordure vous permet de libérer du fil de coupe sans arrêter le moteur. Lorsque le fil est effiloché ou usé, il est possible de libérer une longueur de fil supplémentaire en frappant doucement le bouton de butée contre le sol pendant que le taille-bordure est en marche (figure 14).
