TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM CAUSE SOLUTION
Hedge trimmer
dose not work.
◾
The power cord from the
battery is not attached to the
hedge trimmer correctly.
◾
Reinsert the power cord plug, ensuring
that the GREEN seal on the plug is
COMPLETELY disappearing into the
socket.
◾
No electrical contact between
the hedge trimmer and power
cord.
◾
Check all the contacts and reconnect
the hedge trimmer with the power
cord.
◾
The EGO portable battery
pack or the EGO backpack
battery is depleted.
◾
Depending on battery type, choose
appropriate charger to charge the
battery.
◾
The lock-off switch is not
placed to the "ON" position
before starting.
◾
Before starting, make sure that the lock-
off switch is placed to the "ON" position.
◾
The two switch levers on
the front handle and rear
handle are not pressed
simultaneously.
◾
Press the front switch lever and rear
switch lever simultaneously after
adjusting the lock-off switch to the
"ON" position.
◾
The battery or the hedge
trimmer is too hot.
◾
Disconnect the battery from the
hedge trimmer and allow the battery
or the hedge trimmer to cool until
its temperature drops below 152°F
(67°C).
◾
The blade is jammed.
◾
Disconnect the power cord from the
hedge trimmer . Wear gloves to remove
the obstruction carefully and check
the blade. If no damage or bend of the
blade, reconnect with the power cord
to start the hedge trimmer.
