TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM CAUSE SOLUTION
Hedge trimmer
doesn’t work.
The battery pack is not
attached to the hedge trimmer.
Attach the battery pack to the hedge
trimmer.
No electrical contact between
the hedge trimmer and
battery pack.
Remove the battery, check contacts
and reinstall the battery pack
The battery pack is depleted.
Charge the battery pack.
The battery pack or the hedge
trimmer is too hot.
Remove the battery pack from the
hedge trimmer and allow the battery
or the hedge trimmer to cool until their
temperature drops below 152°F (67°C).
The front and rear switch
levers are not depressed
simultaneously.
Press the lock-off button rst and then
press the switch levers in the front and
rear handle simultaneously.
The blade is jammed.
Remove the battery pack from the tool,
remove the obstruction carefully, then
reinsert the battery and restart the tool.
Excessive
vibration or
noise.
Dry or corroded blades.
Lubricate the blades, following the
instructions in the LUBRICATING THE
BLADE section in this manual.
Blades or blade support is bent.
Replace with a new blade or support.
Contact EGO service center for blade or
blade replacement service.
Bent or damaged teeth.
Replace with a new blade. Contact EGO
service center for blade replacement
service.
Loose blade bolts.
Tighten the blade bolts. Use a 1/8" (3mm)
hex wrench and turn the bolt clockwise
to tighten.
