Typically what you will most likely do is to change your settings at your work table with the
deployment power off and leave it on the “Save Options” menu, take it to the RSO to get it
checked off, cycle through the settings to double-check them after you put the rocket on the rod-
rail, turn on the deployment power, then choose “Save and FLY”. This keeps the TRS disarmed
until you’re safely on the pad. If you select one of the “FLY” options before you turn on the
deployment power, it’s just going to keep beeping until you turn on the deployment power.
While this is a “safe” mode, you don’t want to take your rocket to the RSO table with it making a
lot of noise… you’re going to get a lot of funny looks and if the RSO isn’t familiar with the TRS
they might think that it’s actually armed when in fact it’s quite the opposite.
Once the beeping stops because you’ve turned the deployment power on, you have to HOLD the
button down for at least 7 seconds to start a flight. This is so you can’t accidentally start the
flight sequence by accidentally tapping the button…once you start the flight sequence, you can’t
interrupt it without either resetting the TRS or turning off the power.
