2 Description of product
2.1 Description of purpose
The Rittal Modular Safe LMS 9.3 is a modular extendable mini data centre. The Modular Safe offers the
highest level of physical security and efficient protection against fire, water and unauthorised access.
All makes and models of components that make up a complete computer centre can be integrated in the
Safe, ranging from an energy-efficient air conditioning system that is tailored to your individual requirements,
to the power supply, to fire early detection and extinguisher systems.
The Modular Safe offers physical security against:
Fire: Fire resistance category F 90 in acc with DIN 4102, and compliance with the max. tem-
perature increase of 50 K and a relative humidity of max. 85 % over a period of 30 minutes.
Fightness to fire-fighting water according to EN 60529: IP 56
Corrosive gases according to DIN 18095 / DIN EN 1634
Vandalism
Theft/burglary, Resistance Class 2 according to EN 1627, and protection against solid foreign
objects, Resistance classes WK3 or WK4 are optionally available
Debris
Dust according to EN 60529: IP 56
