6.2 CMC-TC Computer Control Top Concept
Description:
The CMC is an intelligent monitor of the Modular Safes LMS 9.3 with a 10 Base T Ethernet connection. Em-
phasis was placed in the scope of functionality of the L-ISC package on the documentation and the monitor-
ing of the physical parameters of the Modular Safe LMS 9.3. These functions are managed and controlled
using different programs. The processing unit forms the basic of the CMC. One or more sensor units are
connected to the processing unit via patch cables. The sensors are connected to the I/O unit via RJ 12 in-
puts. The sensors are equipped with a code so that automatic detection of the function groups is guaranteed.
Design:
All function groups can be integrated into the 19“ rack using a 19“, 1 HU mounting frame.
The processing unit contains a configuration interface, a network connection, a traffic/link LED and 4 LEDs
used to display the status of the I/O units connected. The power supply is a separate unit and is not inte-
grated into the cabinet. All function groups are supplied with power by the processing unit.
The status LEDs and a button are located on the front of the I/O units. The sensor connections can be found
on the rear:
