4.2 Operating of the air-conditioning system
4.2.1 Climasplit compact unit
Taking into service and standard operations
After having created an electrical connection, the inner ventilator starts up and circulates the air inside the
Modular Safe. This leads to an even temperature throughout the Modular Safe. The compressor and the
evaporator are connected to a microelectronic control system. The minimum disconnection time is 90 sec-
onds. The switching difference is between 5 and10 K and is adapted automatically.
4.2.2 Storage and transport of the air-conditioning system
NOTICE
If the air conditioning unit is down vertically during transport or instal-
lation, it must not be, under any circumstances, turned upside down!
After transport in a horizontal position, the air conditioning unit must
not be put into operation for at least two hours!
4.2.3 Conditions to be met to ensure function
To make sure that the air-conditioning unit works to its optimum performance, a range of conditions must
firstly be met:
Tightness of the Safe
During assembly, care must be taken to ensure that all of the seals remain undamaged. If this is not the
case, the seals in question must be replaced (spare parts list).
Air circulation in the safe
NOTICE
Uniform air circulation must be provided in the safe. The air intake and
outlet vents in the interior circuit must never be obstructed (clearance
> 150mm), as this will inhibit the air circulation inside the cabinet and
the cooling capacity of the unit would be impaired. The users of the
Modular Safe accordingly must be instructed accordingly!

user side.
Condensation drainage according to DIN 3168
Through a drain-pipe, at the separating wall of the evaporator, condensed water, which can build up in the
evaporator, is drained at the bottom of the air-conditioning system. (Condensate water builds up by prefer-
ence under conditions of high air humidity and a low temperature inside the safe). A hose (size 12 x 2 mm)
must be attached to the drain-pipe, so that the condensate water can drain downwards without interference
(see chapter 5.3).
