3 Location surroundings
3.1 Static requirements
The floor at site where the Modular Safe LMS 9.3 is to be placed must be levelled and have an even surface.
The floor must meet the determined working load in accordance with DIN 1045 (for instance reinforced con-
crete or ribbed stab floor).
Definition of terms
Working load:
The weight of the Modular Safe LMS 9.3 plus the weight of those items which will
be stored in the Modular Safe LMS 9.3.
Load surface:
This is the surface area which is directly covered by the Modular Safe LMS 9.3.
Traffic area:
This is the load surface plus a free area around the Modular Safe, determined by
the swivelling range of the safety doors.
No furniture or other heavy items may be placed on the traffic area, with the ex-
ception of the Modular Safe itself. The normal traffic of personnel is permitted.
Payload:
This is the load which is generated by persons passing in front of the safe doors.
This is assumed to be an average of 100 kgs/m².
