Solving Problems with Printing Quality

The print or
color density
may be
uneven.
One or more of the
toner cartridges may
be near empty or
damaged.
Install new toner cartridges. (Quality/
Toner/Replace)
The OPC drum may
have been installed
improperly or be
defective.
Reinstall the OPC drum cartridge. If
necessary, replace the OPC drum
cartridge and waste toner bottle.
The printer is not on a
level enough surface.
Level the printer (not exceeding ±1°
slant at any point around the machine).
Irregular
print or
mottled
image
appears.
The media is moist
from humidity.
Remove the moist media and replace it
with new, dry media.
Humidity may be too
high.
Adjust the humidity in the paper
storage area.
Media doesn’t meet
printer specifications.
Use media that is covered by the
printer warranty. For information
about approved media, go to
www.konicaminolta.net/printer/
. After
selecting your country, choose Support
& Drivers, select your printer, and then
choose Media Recommendations.
One or more of the
toner cartridges is
defective.
Remove the toner cartridge (Quality/
Toner/Replace) and check for
damage. If necessary, replace it.

cartridge is damaged.
Remove the OPC drum cartridge and
check for damage. If necessary,
replace the OPC drum cartridge and

be incorrectly set.
When printing envelope, glossy stock,
labels, transfer media, transparencies,
and thick stock, the appropriate media
type must be specified in the printer
driver and the printer control panel.
