GETTING STARTED 1. Connect the network camera’s “LAN” port to a router or switch’s “LAN” port with an Ethernet cable, then power on the network camera. 2. If you have a wireless model, connect the antennas to the antenna connectors.
Configuring the EdiView Finder Utility 3. Insert the Edimax CD into your CD-ROM drive and click “Setup Utility” to install the utility software. The setup wizard will guide you through the setup process. Note: MacOS utility is supported and you can download from our website. 4. After EdiView Finder is launched, all cameras found on the LAN are displayed. To connect to a specific camera, double-click the camera listing. Enter the password for the camera (default: 1234) in the login dialogue.
Configuring the Web-Based Management Interface 5. Launch IE and type the IP address of the camera (found by running EdiView), and enter “admin” in the username field, and “1234” in the password field to log in. 6. Once you are logged in, the browser will prompt you to install ActiveX. Click “Install ActiveX Control…” to continue. 7. You should now be able to see the video images captured by your new Edimax network camera. For advanced settings, please refer to the user manual included in the CD.
Viewing the Camera with a Smartphone 8. Please go to the Apple App store or Google Android market to download “Ediview”. Enter the Cloud ID, Username and Password to finish the installation. Note: Each network camera comes with a Cloud ID card which contains the camera’s Cloud ID (MAC address), username ( default : admin ) and password ( default : 1234 ). Note: You may also find Cloud ID by the following methods: 1. The sticker on the bottom of the camera says MAC:xxxxxxxxxxxxxx. 2.
Viewing the Camera with a Web Browser 9. Open your browser and enter “http://Your Cloud ID.myedimax.com” in the address bar. When myedimax.com loads, enter 1234 as the camera’s password to see the video on the Java Applet. Note: If you see “Java Applet is not supported by your browser…” Please go to www.java.com to update or install the Java Applet.
