W ireless L AN AP Configuration
Parameter Description
Alias Name
The alias name of this access poi nt. You
shoul d assign Alias Name in “AP mode” and
“AP Bridge-WDS mode”.
Band
It allows you t o s et t he AP fi x at 802.11b or
802.11g mode. You als o can s elect B+G
mode to allow the A P selec t 802.11b and
802.11g c onnection automaticall y.
ESSID
The ESSID (up t o 31 printabl e ASCII
charact ers) is the unique name identifi ed i n a
WLAN. The ID prevents the unintentional
merging of t wo co-located WLANs. Pleas e
make sure that t he ESS ID of all st ations in
the s ame WLAN network are the same. The
default ESSID is “def ault”. You should
assign Alias Na me i n “AP mode” and “AP
Bridge-WDS mode”.
Channel
Number
Select the appropriate c hannel from t he list
provided t o correspond with your network
settings. Channels differ from c ountry to
country.
Channel 1- 11 (North A merica)
Channel 1- 14 (Japan)
Channel 1- 13 (Europe)
There are 14 channels available.
You should assign Alias Name in “AP
mode”, “AP Bridge-Point t o Point mode”, “AP
Bridge-Point t o Multi-Poi nt mode” and “AP
