PACKAGE CONTENTS Before you start using this product, please check if there is anything missing in the package, and contact your dealer to claim the missing item(s): 1 x Network camera 1 x Power adapter 1 x Tools package 1 x CD with utility software and user manual 1 x Quick installation guide HARDWARE INSTALLATION Please follow the instructions to set up your new network camera. If you wish to place this network camera on a table, please skip steps 1 and 2.
Step 3: Please connect the power and network cables. Step 4: Please loosen the screw identified by the arrow in the diagram, and then rotate the mechanism to set the camera to its desired position. Step 5: Please loosen the screw identified by the arrow in the diagram, and again turn the mechanism to set the camera to its desired position.
Step 6: Please rotate the mechanism to set the camera to a proper position. Step 7: Please loosen the screw identified by the arrow in the diagram, and adjust the lens. Step 8: Please re-attach the front cover and tighten it appropriately. Please ensure the front cover is in the correct position – so that the rubber around the camera lens is sufficiently close to the transparent dome covering.
ACCESSING THE NETWORK CAMERA’S MANAGEMENT INTERFACE By default, the network camera automatically obtains an IP address from the DHCP server on your local network. Check your DHCP server’s IP address lease table to find the network camera’s IP address, or use the EdiView Finder utility included in the CD. Note: We recommend that you use Microsoft Windows to install your network camera - Mac is not supported. 1. Insert the CD into your CD-ROM drive.
3. Click “Discover” to search for all the network cameras on your local network (make sure all the network cameras are powered on and connected to the network first). 4. When you find a network camera, left click on it once and click “Link” to access it via the web browser. Note: You can also access the network camera’s management interface by entering the network camera’s IP address in the web browser’s URL bar (use Internet Explorer 7 and above for full functionality). 5. Log in the network camera.
6. The browser might ask you to install the ActiveX plug-in. Allow the browser to install the plug-in when prompted or you will not be able to see the video from the network camera. For IE 8 and earlier versions: For IE 9, the notification will be displayed at the bottom of Internet Explorer: Click ‘Allow’ to install ActiveX plug-in. If you’re prompted “Windows Firewall has blocked some features of this program” then click ‘Allow access’, or the pan-tilt camera will not be able to function properly.
When you’re installing Internet Explorer plug-in, you may also be asked if you want to allow changes to be made to your computer: Click ‘Yes’ to allow changes. After ActiveX plug-in is installed, you should be able to see the video stream from camera. Please refer to the user manual for more detailed instructions.
