2-4-2 Using ‘Static IP as broadband connection type
If your ISP requires you to set a fixed IP address to establish connection, you can use this
connection type to input the IP address information assigned by your ISP. Generally youll
get a letter from your ISP, which indicates an IP address, subnet mask, gateway address, and
DNS address.
Here are descriptions of every setup items:
Item Name
Description
Fixed IP Address
Please input IP address assigned by your
service provider.
Subnet Mask
Please input subnet mask assigned by your
service provider.
DNS address
Please input the IP address of DNS server
provided by your service provider.
Default Gateway
Please input the IP address of default gateway
provided by your service provider.
Note: Some ISP may call this as Default
route
You must use the addresses provided by your Internet service
provider, wrong setting value will cause connection problem.
