I. Product Information RE23S are Wi‐Fi roaming extenders. After setting up your roaming network, your Wi‐Fi devices (smartphones, tablets etc.) will automatically connect to the best available Wi‐Fi signal as you move around. I‐1. II. Initial Setup First you need to link one RE23S to your router by Wi‐Fi or Ethernet cable: (i) Simply plug in and use the WPS button (push for 3s on each device). The RE23S will automatically link to your router and use the same Wi‐Fi name and password as your router. That’s it – ready to add more extenders. Or (ii) Just plug in and connect the RE23S to your router with an Ethernet cable. The RE23S will automatically link to your router and use the Wi‐Fi name and password on your access card.
3. Open a web browser and enter the URL http://edimaxext.setup or scan the QR‐Code below and click Get Started.
If you cannot access http://edimaxext.setup, please make sure your computer is set to use a dynamic IP address. For more information please refer to the user manual. 4. Select Yes, I need a Wi‐Fi Extender to continue setup wirelessly, or Change to a Different Mode and then Access Point Mode if you want to link your RE23S to your router with an Ethernet cable. 5. III. Adding More Extenders & WPS Adding more RE23S roaming extenders to your network is easy with the WPS button. Additional extenders automatically follow the Wi‐Fi settings of the first RE23S linked to your router. WPS can also be used to link the first RE23S to your router for first‐time setup. 1. Press the WPS button on your linked extender (or router for first‐time setup) for 3 seconds. 2. Within two minutes, press and hold the WPS button for 3 seconds on the new extender. 3.
IV. Reset If you experience problems with your extender or if you want to change the extender to a different operating mode, you can reset the device back to its factory settings. This resets all settings back to default. 1.Press and hold the reset button for at least 10 seconds and release when the green LED is flashing. 2.Wait for the extender to restart. After a period of time the extender is ready for setup when the green LED is flashing again.
