No,theWANandLANportshaveslightlydifferentfunctionsdependingonthe
operatingmodeofthedevice.
a. InWi‐Firoutermode,theWANportisforadirectconnectiontoyourxDSL
modem.TheLANportsareforwirednetworkclients.
b. Inaccesspointmode,the
WANportisnotfunctional.Connectyourexisting
routertothedevice’sLANport,andtheotherLANportscanconnectwired
networkclients.
c. InWi‐Fiextender,Wi‐Fibridge&WISPmode,theWANportisnotfunctional
andtheLANportsareforwirednetworkclients.Do notconnectyourexisting
routertothedevice’sWANorLANports,asthiscancausethedeviceto
malfunction.
